Psychotherapy for Depression, Anxiety and Trauma
This part of the site is for anyone who needs help with depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, fear or low self-esteem — whether you are looking for a therapist or simply for something that helps.
Everything here comes from forty-seven years of clinical and private practice experience, and from having been through severe depression myself.
A note on how I work. None of this is religious. There is no doctrine, no belief you are asked to accept, and nothing you need to have faith in. The approach draws upon traditional and new psychotherapeutic methodologies, self-awareness, empathy, and my own years of study, practice and tried and tested strategies. These strategies have proven themselves to work over many years whether or not you consider yourself a spiritual person or interested in spirituality or not. If you want practical help overcoming depression and nothing more, that is entirely enough.

How I work
I have been a psychotherapist since 1978, with a year’s residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital and many years of clinical work in hospitals and clinics. I see clients privately by video conferencing, wherever they are in the world, and have done so for twenty-five years.
