Enlightenment and Spiritual Awakening

What follows are a collection of writings I have built up over many years about awakening, enlightenment, oneness, surrender, inner peace and what it is actually like to live from that place. All of the writings here are based upon direct experience rather than from intellectual understanding.

A note before you begin. These writings are not religious. There is no doctrine here, no belief you are asked to accept, and nothing you need to have faith in. What I share with you here is what I have experienced, and what I have observed happening for other people.

If you are new to any of this, these three articles are a good place to begin.

The search itself

Is enlightenment a journey, a search, a destination, or is it a state of awareness of what already is?

Living it: peace, suffering and happiness

These articles are about living the True Self, Oneness, in the tangible world.

If you feel everything: empaths and hyper-empathy

Practice: meditation and mindfulness

Meditation and mindfulness are simple, powerful and life changing practices

William Samuel, and the language of remembering

Much of my own spiritual journey was influenced by my dear friend and teacher, William Samuel. These pieces are about his work, and about what the word “remembering” actually points to.

Going deeper: the nature of self and reality

Here are some articles on topics in response to questions I have received

If you would like to work with me

I have been a psychotherapist since 1978 and I also help others experience enlightenment and teach meditation and mindfulness internationally.
