Chapter 2 – Freedom from Fear

It has been said that fear is an inevitable part of being human, that it is an essential part of who you are. You are told that fear protects you, that without fear you would be harmed. These misinterpretations have been perpetuated for millennia. These errors in thinking do us all a great disservice.

If fear were truly the friend it is claimed to be then why does it limit you and hurt you so much?

The answer to these questions is as strange as it is simple. Fear, like all the Medusan heads of the metaphoric darkness, wants only to perpetuate itself and to feed on the fruits of its labors. It fills your mind and body with the
belief that fear is an essential and inescapable part of being human. That fear is as necessary to your survival as the air you breathe and the food you eat. Fear tells you that it is your protector, that anxiety is your warning beacon
and that without them you will be hurt or die. Fear states these ideas quite convincingly as if they were absolute facts. It is understandable then that those who have not experienced God as Infinite Love would be easily fooled by
the logic of fear’s assertions.

It is really possible to live without fear? Yes, of course it is. Why rid yourself of fear? Because, like all shadowy metaphors, fear is a cloud that keeps you from experiencing Reality as it truly is. Fear distracts you from experiencing the Joy, Peace and ecstasy of life. Fear also distracts you from experiencing the Love that is available for you to give and to receive. Fear can cause diseases of the mind and body. Fear causes you to feel the need to be in control, even when that is an impossibility, which then causes frustration or anger. Fear prevents you from experiencing many of the magical adventures available to you. Fear can cause confusion, which then causes you to make poor decisions. Fear causes you to feel separate from everyone around you and from God. If one of your desires in life is to experience Oneness with God then fear will keep you from that experience. You do not need fear. Fear is a lie. Fear always says No, even when your Heart says, Yes.

What will protect you if you dissolve all fear? Discernment.
When you dissolve fear you will be left with the clarity and discernment of the Soul. This will protect you. You will know when to say “yes” and when to say “no”. You will know where to be and where not to be, when to run and when to stand firm. You will know what to say in all situations. You will have access to omniscient understanding.

Fear will tell you that you must understand it before you let it go or dissolve it. This is another lie. First dissolve the fear. The clear, honest understanding you need will follow immediately.

It is also important to remember that we are all interconnected. We are not isolated islands of flesh, emotions and thoughts.
The fear and confusion you carry with you touches all those around you and can even effect events in your life.

This book will teach you how to use fear and the dissolve it. There are also practices here that will help you keep fear from ever distracting you again. Like most anything in which you wish to excel, you must put into practice the teachings and recommendations in this book in your daily life.

You can begin this process by asking yourself this question;

If there is no fear in who I am, then who am I?
